Role Overview

Your chance to join a global powerhouse creating sustainable value across the built environment. Our client is an industry leader in engineered pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete solutions, and they are seeking an autonomous, senior AM Shift Production Manager to lead their operations in Ipswich.

This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role operating in a complex, high-reach, and high-stress manufacturing environment. You will have full autonomy to deliver KPIs, manage a large team of specialized machine operators, and drive the production of large structural beams.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operational Leadership:

• Coordinate daily production plans and schedules for the AM shift (5:00 am – 2:00 pm), ensuring targets and KPIs are met autonomously.
• Lead and allocate work across multiple teams, managing 20+ specialized machine operators in the manufacturing of large pre-stress beams and casting molds.
• Supervise the appropriate use and maintenance of high-value assets, including molds and materials.
• Ensure accurate recording of production output, downtime, rejects, and rework, communicating performance metrics effectively to the team.

Safety & Quality Assurance:

• Maintain a safe system of work in a high-risk, high-reach environment, taking a proactive approach to safety and leading by example.
• Ensure all products meet strict quality management standards and comply with critical quality rules and procedures.

Team Development & Stakeholder Management:

• Provide strong leadership, coaching, and support to the production team, addressing performance deficiencies with appropriate tools and training.
• Consult with HR and management on employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, liaising with other supervisors for efficient resource allocation.

Skills & Qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of proven experience in materials manufacturing, with essential experience in pre-cast and pre-stress concrete (specifically large beams).
• Proven ability to lead teams of 20+ operators in a complex, high-stress, and high-risk manufacturing environment.
• Trade qualifications or a Certificate III/IV in Engineering with heavy "tools-on" manufacturing experience. (Candidates with a Bachelor/Master qualification must also possess practical, tools-qualified experience).
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Multiple machinery operation tickets are highly ideal.

Salary & Work Rights

• $140K - $160K + Super (Relocation assistance considered for exceptional candidates).
• AM Shift: 5:00 am – 2:00 pm.
• Location: Ipswich, QLD (On-site role).
